DIY Painted Shoes

We’re artsy fartsy people and we love searching for awesome DIY projects online. Being shoe enthusiasts ourselves, we decided our first DIY day to be all about shoes! Constantly searching for leopard or Aztec printed shoes in shopping malls, and constantly being disappointed as well because of its scarcity, we just decided to paint these two patterns on black plimsolls!

Being very particular about price, we found these black plimsolls on sale worth Php 180 each! It’s a brand we’ve tried and tested. They’re cheap but sturdy at the same time. It’s definitely worth every peso you spend.

We’ve tried looking all over for affordable but quality acrylic paints on aluminum tubes and we found the brand Maries, a 12-color set valued around Php 160 which we found at Deovir, a shop at the 3rd floor of SM North EDSA’s main mall.

Though it took us nearly 4 hours to have both pairs painted, it’s definitely one good bonding experience for the both of us. It was also a good way to channel the creativity and painting skills we have within us. This is a true testament that shoes aren’t measured merely by their price, rather, by their sentimental value.

Until our next DIY projects! MBA
