After all the stress and excitement brought about by the planning, our first ever out-of-town vacation finally pushed through. As the title of this entry reads, we planned this trip to unwind, relax, and temporarily escape the hustle and bustle in the city.

Holy Week is a time we, Roman Catholics, dedicate not only to remember how our Jesus Christ suffered and died for our sins but also for our heart’s repentance. Each year, we both practice the Visita Iglesia (Spanish: Church Visit) wherein we visit seven or fourteen churches or religious sites. Though it is traditionally observed on a Maundy Thursday, it is now commonly practiced during any day of the Holy Week.
